The correct option is A A2 cm2

Let AH be the perpendicular drawn from A to CD, then AH is the height corresponding to the base CD in both, parallelogram ABCD and ADC .

Area of parallelogram, A = base× height
A = AH×CD

Area of ADC = 12 × base× height

= 12 × AH × CD

= 12 × (AH × CD) = 12 × A = A2

Therefore, area of ADC is A2 cm2.
