Question

If displacement is perpendicular to force. Then how is the result zero?

Open in App
Solution

w.d=f.s.cosA

f-force

s-displacement

A-angle between f and s

cosA=cos90

cos90=0

hence FORCE=0

EXAMPLE-

here is how you can fool a coolie

he carries luggage on his head so force is in upward direction and he is moving forward so displacement is in forward direction . hence work done by coolie=0

no workdone = no money
