Question

If in a triangle a = 3+1,b=31,C=60 then the value of A is ?

  1. 75
  2. 90
  3. 105
  4. 120

Solution

The correct option is C 105
A+B+C=180
A+B=120  .... (1)
From law of tangent, we know that tan (AB2)=aba+bcotC2
=(3+1)(31)(3+1)+(31)cot30
=223cot30
tan(AB2)=1
AB=90  ..... (2)
By equation 1 & 2, we get
A=105
