Question

If p, q, n are three positive real numbers and p > q then which of the following is correct.

A

p(1n)<q1n

loader
B

p1n<q1n

loader
C

p1n>q1n

loader
D

pn<qn

loader

Solution

The correct option is A

p(1n)<q1n

Given that, p > q

1p<1q         (using the property of inequality)
[1p]1n<[1q]1n

Since n is positive [1n] is also positive. So the inequality doesn't change when we raise both sides of the inequality with the positive number  1n.
Hence,
p1n<q1n
which is given by option (a).
