Solution

The correct option is C A = B
For Rocket A:
Total length of Rocket A =3430 cm.
Total number of parts in Rocket A =70

So, the length of each part of Rocket A will be
=3430 cm÷70

The number 3430 in its exapnded form can be written as:
3430=3000+400+30

Here, Divisor = 3430
and Dividend = 70.

So, calculating =3430÷70 using the box method,

Adding all the partial quotients, you get the final quotient as: 40+5+4=49.

So, 3430 cm÷70=49 cm.

Therefore, each part of Rocket A will be 49 cm long.

For Rocket B:
Total length is 1715 cm.
Total number of parts in it is 35.

So, the length of each part of Rocket B will be =1715 cm÷35.

So, here, Dividend = 1715
and Divisor = 35.

The number 1715 in its expanded form can be written as: 1715=1000+700+10+5.

So, calculating 1715÷35 using the box method, you get the following:

Adding the partial quotients, you get the final quotient as: 20+20+5+4=49.

So, the length of each part of Rocket B is also 49 cm.

Hence, comparing the lengths of the parts of both the rockets, you get, A=B.
