If the length of a wire is doubled by taking more of wire, what happens to its resistance?


Solution

Resistance is directly proportional to the length of the wire, and inversely proportional to the cross sectional area of the wire.
If the length of a wire is doubled by taking more of wire, the resistance is doubled,note that the area of cross section is same.
