7500 litres


Given: Ratio of capacities of water tanks = 3: 5: 7.

Let the volume of tanks be 3x, 5x and 7x.

Given that the largest tank can hold 3500 litres of water.

7x = 3500

x = 35007

= 500

The total water that can be held by all the three tanks together = 3x+5x+7x

= 15x

= 15×500

= 7500 litres
