Let the roots of the equation px2+qx+q=0 be ax and bx

then sum of roots=ax+bx=qp (1)

product of roots ax×bx=qp (2)

From eqs,(1) and (2) we have
x(a+b)=x2ab
x[xab+(a+b)]=0
x=a+bab

Therefore the roots are ax=(a+b)b and bx=(a+b)a
