We know that equation ax2+bx+c=0

Then sum of roots =ba

Let α, β be the roots of the given equation
α+β=3(λ2)2
But it is given that
α=β
Therefore, β+β=3(λ2)2

0=3(λ2)2

0×2=3(λ2)
03=(λ2)
0=(λ2)
λ2=0
Hence, λ=2
