$x^{2} + y^{2} = 47 \dots \dots (1)$
$X y = \frac{19}{2} \dots \dots (2)$
$(x + y)^{2} = x^{2} + y^{2} + 2 x y$
$= 47 + 2 \times \frac{19}{2} = 47 + 19$
$(x + y)^{2} = 66$
