Question

If x+y=10 and x=z then prove that x+z=10 by using Euclid's axiom

Solution

Let x + y = 10. be first equation ... Let z + y = 10 be second equation..  Since x = z, substitute x in the second equation..  which gives z + y = 10 ==> x + y = 10.. So., the Euclid axiom can be given as.. THINGS WHICH ARE EQUAL TO THE SAME THING ARE EQUAL TO ONE ANOTHER..
