Let, z=x+iy
x+iy=4cos2θ+2sin2θi
x=2(1+cos2θ),y=2sin2θ
x2=2cos2θ,y=2sin2θ

x22=cos2θ,y2=sin2θ

squaring and adding we get,

cos22θ+sin22θ=1
(x2)2+y2=4. which is circle centred at (2,0)
