Solution

Area of garden=3.5×3.5
=12.25 m²

Area of leftover part=7.25m²

Let area of one flower bed be x.
Area of four equal flower beds=4×x
=4x

Area of four equal flower beds=(12.257.25)m²
=5.00 m²
So,4x=5 m²
x=5/4 m²

Now, area of one flower bed =x=5/4m²
Breadth of one flower bed=50cm
=50/100 m
=0.5 m

Area of flower bed =length×breadth
=>5/4=length×0.5
1.25=length×0.5
Length=1.25/0.5
=2.5 m

Hence, this is the answer.
