In an election, 20% of the total votes were invalid.
80% of the total votes were valid.
Now since one of the candidates got 55% of the total valid votes, the other candidate got 45% of the total valid votes.
Thus, number of votes obtained by the other candidate =45100×80100×7500=920×45×7500=36×75=2700
