Question

In cylinder, if the radius is halved and the height is doubled then the volume will be

(a) the same        (b) doubled        (c) halved          (d) four times

Solution

The volume of the cylinder is πr2h
hear the question is radius is halved it means
radius =r2
height is doubled it means
height = 2h
volume of cylinder =227 xr2xr2 x 2h
then the volume of the cylinder will be 12  πr2h

So the volume of the cylinder is halved.

(c) halved
