The correct option is B 203 Ω
We need to reduce this circuit to a battery and a single resistor.

6 Ω and 4 Ω resistance are in series


Now , we can assume a cell of emf=0 V is connected with 20 Ω resistance.


So this 0 V and 20 Vbattery are in parallel combination.

Their equiavlent resisatnce, req=20×1020+10=203 Ω

Let their equiavlent emf be V


This can be further reduced to,



Using maximum power transfer theorem. We can say that R should be equal to 203 Ω for maximum power transfer.
