ABCD is a quadrilateral, BED and AEC are straight lines.

In a ΔBCE, we have

EB=EC .....Given

ECB=EBC=62 .....Angles opposite to equal sides are also equal

Sum of all angles of a triangle =180

ECB+EBC+CEB=180

62+62+CEB=180

CEB=56

CEB=AED=56 ....Vertically opposite angles

Now in ΔADE, we have

Sum of all angles of a triangle =180

EDA+AED+y=180

38+56+y=180

y=86
