In the figure, BC is produced both sides CA and BA are also produced

in $\Delta ABC,$

$\angle B={180}^{\circ }-y$

and $\angle C={180}^{\circ }$

\(\therefore z=\angle A =180^\circ-(B+C)

=${180}^{\circ }-y+180-x$

=$180-({360}^{\circ }-x-y)$

$={180}^{\circ }-{360}^{\circ }+x+y$

=$x+y-{180}^{\circ }$
