Question

In the figures shown below, the congruent parts have been marked with the same signs. Write the correspondence by which the pairs of triangles are congruent.

Solution

(i) Two sides, and one angle between them, of ∆PQR are congruent to the corresponding sides, and angle between them, of ∆XYZ.
∴ PQR ↔ XZY or PRQ ↔ XYZ

(ii) All the sides of ∆VSK are equal to all the corresponding sides of ∆DEF.
∴ VSK ↔ DEF or VSK ↔ DFE or VSK ↔ EDF, VSK ↔ EFD, VSK ↔ FDE, VSK ↔ FED.
