Solution

The correct option is B Groups 1, 2, and 3
Volume is nothing but space occupied by any object.

Let's count the small boxes of 1 cubic meter in each group.

In Group 1:
Number of boxes along the length = 4
Number of boxes along the width = 2.

∴ Number of boxes in the first layer is
= 4 x 2 = 8 boxes.

There are 4 such layers in group 1.

∴ Total number of boxes in group 1
= 4 x 8 = 32 boxes

Each cube box volume = 1 cubic unit

∴ Group 1 volume = 32 x 1 = 32 cubic units

The other three groups have the same number of boxes.

Thus, they have the same volumes.

We require a total volume of 96 cubic units.

The volume of group 1 is less than the required volume.

The total volume of groups 1 and 2 is still less than that of the service room.

Adding the volume of groups 1, 2, and 3 is equal to 96 cubic units.

Hence, the volume of groups 1, 2, and 3 together represent the required volume of 96 cubic units.
