The correct option is C x < y
$x^{2} - 4 x + 3 = 0 (x - 1) (x - 3) = 0 x = 1 o r 3 y^{2} - 13 y + 400 = 0 (y - 5) (y - 8) = 0 y = 5 o r 8$
Largest value of x = 3 < 5 = least value of y
So, x < y.
