In the given figure, AC = AE, AB = AD and BAD=EAC. Show that BC = DE.

Given:
AC=AEAB=AD

Also, BAD=EAC
On adding DAC on both the sides, we get
BAD+DAC=EAC+DACBAC=DAE

Consider ADE and ABCAE=AC (Given) AD=AB (Given)DAE=BAC (Proved above) By SAS congruence criterion, ADEABC.
By CPCT, BC=DE.
