Area of the quadrilateral ABCD = Area of ΔABC + Area of ΔACD

Area of the quadrilateral ABCD = 12×AC×BP + 12×AC×DQ

Area of the quadrilateral ABCD = 12×8×6 + 12×8×4
Area of the quadrilateral ABCD = 24 + 16
Area of the quadrilateral ABCD = 40 cm2
