Question

In the video lecture it was told that the Hydrogen bond is the weakest bond in nature. But I am not clear with that part that whether it is weaker than only ionic or covalent bonds or among all the vanderwaal forces. If it is stronger or weaker than the vanderwaal forces, how is it? Can I get a proper explanation?

If there is dipole force of attraction it will be stronger than normal covalent bond. This is because the attractive forces between partial charges. Hydrogen bonding is a special category of dipole force and stronger than normal dipole force of attraction. But it is weaker than ionic bond where there is complete charge separation and the force of attraction is between complete charges.
So the correct order of force of attraction is
Ionic> Hydrogen bonding > Dipole forces > Covalent bonding
