In kitchen, baking powder is used as ingredient for making tasty pakodas, fluffy cakes and more.
Baking powder has baking soda (NaHCO3) as a major consituent along with some edible acids into it.
Therefore, compound X is NaHCO3: a mild base.
In acid indigestion, NaHCO3 neutralises excess hydrochloric acid in the stomach and in case of ant bite, it neutralises formic acid injected through the ant sting.
