Is the area of the circle inscribed in a square of side a cm,
πa2 cm2=? Given reasons for your answer.


Solution



Let ABCD be a square of side a cm.

  Diameter of the circle = Side of the square = a

  Radius of circle =a2

   Area of circle =π(Radius)2=π(a2)=πa24

Hence, area of the circle is πa24 cm2.
