Solution

  1. Mammalian heart has four chambers - two atria and two ventricles.
  2. All these chambers are associated with blood vessels which carry the blood into and out of the heart.
  3. Left atrium receives four pulmonary veins, two from each lung, that brings oxygenated blood to be transported to all parts of the blood.
  4. So, Pulmonary veins takes oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium.
  5. Pulmonary veins are the only veins that carry oxygenated blood.
