Length of a rectangle exceeds its breadth by $5 m$ . If the perimeter of the rectangle is $90 m$ . Find its length and breadth.

Solution

Let breadth of rectangle be $x$ .
Then, its length = $x + 5$
Now, Perimeter = 90 m
$2 (x + x + 5) = 90$
$2 x + 5 = 45$
$2 x = 40$
$x = 20 m$
Therefore, length = $25 m$ and breadth = $20 m$ .
