Let x=3+2 and y=13+2 then find the value of (x+y)2+(xy)2.

Given, x=3+2......(1) and y=13+2 or, y=3232=32.....(2).

From (1) and (2) we've,

x+y=23 and xy=22.

Now,

(x+y)2+(xy)2

=4(3+2)

=20.
