Question

Liquid in solid type colloids in which dispersion phase is solid and dispersion medium is liquid are called aerosols.

Solution

When dispersion medium is liquid and the dispersed phase is solid, the colloids are called Sols. For e.g. paints, gum, muddy water etc whereas aerosols are colloids of gas as dispersion medium with dispersed phase as solids or liquids.
