As Sc2+ and Cu2+ has same number of unpaired electrons, i.e. 1 unpaired electron due to having d1 and d9 configurations respectively, they also have same magnetic moment.
Hence , the magnetic moment =n(n+2))=1(1+2)=3=1.73 BM.
So, both have same magnetic moment equal to 1.73 BM.
