Solution

(i) Carbon dioxide is released during photosynthesis. (F)

During photosynthesis Carbon dioxide is not released instead it produces Oxygen.

(ii) Plants that synthesize their food are called saprotrophs. (F)

Plants that synthesize their food themselves are called autotrophs. That is, it doesn't depend on other organisms for food, using sunlight and water the plants make their own food.

(iii) The product of photosynthesis is not a protein. (T)

Sunlight, water & carbon dioxide are three main components that are necessary for photosynthesis to occur, which in turn generate oxygen and glucose. The final result of photosynthesis, therefore, is glucose and oxygen, not a protein.

(iv) Solar energy is converted into chemical energy during photosynthesis. (T)

Photosynthesis is the process of utilizing and converting light or solar energy into chemical energy. Sunlight is absorbed by chlorophyll of leaves.
