Solution

The correct option is C

Clouds scatter all colors of light

Statement Options(A)Light makes tiny particles visible due to(1)Tyndall effectscattering.(B)The effect of seeing an objects is retained by the(2)Persistence of visioneye for116thof a second.(C)Composite light splits up into component(3)Dispersioncolours.(D)Irregular and partial reflection of light(4)Scattering

Definition for the given terms:

Tyndal effect: It is the scattering of light as light beam passes through a colloid. The individual suspension particles scatter and reflect light, making the beam visible.

Persistence of vision: When an object is viewed by the eye, its image remains on the retina of the eye for a time interval of 0.0625 seconds (116th). If more than one object is viewed within 0.0625 s, their images will appear interrelated subsequently to the eye.

Dispersion: It is the phenomenon of splitting up of a composite light into its constituent colours. The regular array of colours formed by dispersion is the visible spectrum.

Scattering: it is the phenomenon of reflection and deflection of light from its linear path after passing through a non-uniform medium.
