Solution

In India, we have direct elections to the position of MLAs, MPs, Panchayats, Municipalities and Municipal Corporations. But in an indirect election, the elected representatives who are chosen through direct elections get to vote. Elections to Rajya Sabha are held this way. The president and vice-president of India are also chosen through indirect elections. To contest for Lok Sabha or Vidhan Sabha elections, one needs to be at least 25 years old and for Rajya Sabha elections, one needs to be at least 30 years of age. In order to become a vice president or president, one needs to be at least 35 years of age.
