Ketonuria is the presence of ketone bodies in urine. Generally ketones (end products of fatty acid metabolism) are broken down in the liver. But during ketonuria, large amounts of ketone bodies are present in urine.
Hematuria is the presence of blood in urine. Presence of blood in urine might be due to urinary tract infections, kidney stones, or tumors.
Glycosuria refers to a condition where excess glucose is excreted in urine. The normal glucose level in urine is 0 to 0.25 mg/mL. But during glycosuria, this glucose level rises beyond 0.25 mg/mL.
Dysuria is the pain or discomfort caused during urinating. Urinary tract infections, tumors, kidney stones, vaginitis are some of the causes for dysuria.
