Solution

Valves are flaps which prevent the backflow of blood. Mitral valve or the bicuspid valve is present between the left atria and the left ventricle. Tricuspid valves are present between the right atria and the right ventricle. Two semilunar valves are present in the heart - aortic valve and the pulmonary valve. Aortic valve connects the left ventricle to the aorta. Pulmonary valve connects the pulmonary artery to the right ventricle.
