Ecosystem:

The ecosystem is a region where plants, animals, organisms interact with abiotic components such as soil, water, and temperature.

Two types of ecosystems:

• Natural ecosystems: These are self-sustaining and do not require human regulation. These can be either land (terrestrial) or aquatic ecosystem.
• Man-made or artificial ecosystems: These are under the regulation of humans and are created by humans for their benefit.

Examples:

• Forest, lake, river, or desert ecosystems are natural ecosystems
• Aquariums, crop fields, or gardens are artificial ecosystems.
