Solution

The layer of the wall of the eye-ball that corresponds to the black lining of the box of a camera - Retina.
The retina is a thin layer of tissue that lines the back of the eye on the inside. It is located near the optic nerve. It functions like the film in a camera.
In a normal eye, the light rays come to the retina. Then the retina processes the light rays into light impulses through millions of tiny nerve endings, then sending these light impulses through over a million nerve fibers to the optic nerve.
The retina receives the image that the cornea focuses through the eye’s internal lens and transforms this image into electrical impulses that are carried by the optic nerve to the brain.
Hence image is formed on the retina and we can see the image.
