Question

Name the juice produced by liver. How does it help in digestion of fats?

Open in App
Solution

The liver cells produce the bile juice. There are bile salts which are responsible for the emulsification of the fats. The emulsified fats are broken down into smaller fat globules. These globules are broken down to form the glycerol and fatty acids by the enzyme lipase which is present in the intestinal juice. Thus, the bile juice helps in the process of digestion of fats.
