Pistil: It is the female reproductive part of a flower.
The pistil has three distinct parts, i.e. stigma, style, and ovary.
Stigma: The stigma is the receiver of the pollen grains which are released from the anther. It is a hair sticky surface that releases fluids for the pollens to stick to it and germinate.
Style: The style is a long canal that begins at the base of the stigma and reaches the ovary. The pollen tube after germinating follows the style to reach the ovary.
Ovary: It is the globular bottommost part of the pistil. It contains small grain-like structures called the ovule which contains the female gametes.
