(a) In the given figure:
(i) Petiole: The part of the leaf by which it is attached to the stem is called petiole.
(ii) Midrib: The prominent line in the middle of the leaf is called the midrib.
(iii) Lamina: The broad, green part of the leaf is called lamina.
(iv) Vein: The lines on the leaf that supports the lamina are called veins. (1 Mark)
(b) The veins in leaf occur in an irregular way forming a net-like structure. Hence the leaf in the given figure has reticulate venation. (1 Mark)
(c) The veins run parallel to each other on both sides of the midrib in grass. Hence it has parallel venation. (1 Mark)
