$n = 3 y e a r s, r = 10 % a n d C . I . = R s . 2317$
$∴ 2317 = P [{(1 + \frac{10}{100})}^{3} - 1] ∵ C . I . = P [{(1 + \frac{r}{100})}^{n} - 1]$
$\Rightarrow 2317 = P (1.331 - 1)$
$\Rightarrow P = \frac{2317}{0.331} = 7000$
$∴$ Required sum $= R s . 7000$
