Solution

The correct option is D 4
Given :One mole of a monoatomic ideal gas is mixed with one mole of a diatomic ideal gas. The molar specific heat of the mixture at constant volume is ________ in calories.

Solution :
The Volume of γ of the mixture is given by

n1+n2γ1=n1γ11+n2γ21

1+1γ1=1531+1321

Solving we get the γ=1.5

We also know Specific heat Cv=Rγ1

Substituting value of γ we get Cv=2R

We need ans in calories and value of R in calories is 2

So Cv=4

The Correct Opt=B
