Total number of apples $=14$
Number of apples that were spoilt $=14\times \frac{2}{7}=4$ apples.
Now, the number of apples left $=14-4=10$ apples
Number of apples left, after selling some of them $=10\times \frac{1}{5}=2$ apples.
Since, half of the 2 apples is eaten by friend, the number of apples left $=2\times \frac{1}{2}=1$ apple
Therefore, only 1 apple is left.
