In Chile, initially a democratic government was led by Allende, who was replaced by a non-democratic military government of Pinochet, which finally ended with a democratic rule. And in the case of Poland, transition took place from a democratic to non-democratic government.

Finally both the countries enjoyed democracy, as the power was in the hands of elected representatives, and the citizens enjoyed some political rights.
