Question

Do chromatin, chromosomes and chromatid have the same composition i.e DNA and proteins??

Open in App
Solution

Yes, chromosome, chromatin and chromatid have same composition and are made up of DNA and protein. Actually in normal stage genetic material is present in the form of chromatin in a cell but when the cell is about to divide chromatin fibres condense and become short to form chromosome. Chromatid is one of the two strand of DNA present in a chromosome. Thus, these three are different forms of same genetic material and obviously their composition will be same.
