Solution

12 horses or 16 cows can consume 60 kgs of fodder in 20 days

here the only constant quantity is rate of fodder /day consumed by cow or horse.

so 12 horses = 60 × 20kg-day

or 1 horse = 100kg-day

for cow it is 75 kg-day

According to question there are 24 horses and 24 cows and days are 30.

so 24 horses have 2400kg-days and 24 cows have 24×75=1800kg-days

so total kg-days = 4200 , and days are 30

let the fodder be x kg

then x kg× 30days = 4200kg-days

x = 4200/30 = 140days, so the fodder required is 140 kg.
