Is 'cancer' both chronic and non-infectious disease?

Cancer is a chronic disease as it affects the body for prolonged period. Cancer can not be transmitted from one person to other. So it is non communicable. It is mostly non infectious. But certain viruses are known to induce cancer like Rous sarcoma virus. Cancer is caused by various factors such as exposure to certain types of radiations and chemicals, environmental factors, pollutants, lifestyle, hereditary factors, consumption of tobacco etc.
