To use restriction enzyme for cutting the DNA ,the DNA must be in pure form, i.e. it should be free from associated compounds like proteins and RNA. How is it achieved?

Use of restriction enzymes is a part of recombinant DNA technology, in which the first step isolation of DNA means removing all the proteins attached to the DNA using chemicals and centrifugation. After isolation of DNA, pure DNA is used for cutting with restriction enzymes.
