Question

we know current always flow from a body at high potential to a body to a low potential ,then why does AC current changes its direction?

Solution

Alternating current is created by an AC electric generator which determines the frequency. In the case of AC, voltage can be readily changed. In AC generator a slightly different configuration alternates the push and pull of each generator terminal. Therefore the current in the wire moves in one direction for a short while and then reverses its direction when the generator armature is in a different position.
